Competitive problem solving, every day
Faction Arena is an AI Native online platform for students preparing for JEE and NEET, operated by Faction and open to students across India.
What we do
Faction Arena is built on a simple conviction: preparation for JEE and NEET is dominated by lecture content, and watching lectures is not the same as solving problems under pressure. Most students discover that gap only in the examination hall.
The platform puts daily problem solving at the centre instead. Students practise against a large bank of examination problems across Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology, with difficulty that adapts to the level they are actually solving at. Weekly rated contests put that practice under timed conditions, and a peer doubt forum lets students work through what they are stuck on together.
Every attempt comes back as usable feedback rather than just a score. Streaks, ratings and chapter-level analytics show where a student is consistent and where they are not.
Our classrooms
Faction Arena did not start online. Faction runs offline coaching centres in Agartala, Tripura, Udaipur, Tripura, Dharmanagar, Tripura, where more than 1,500 students are currently enrolled across our classroom programmes.
The two sides of the business share one foundation: the same in-house question bank that our teachers write for the classroom is what feeds Faction Arena. Every problem on the platform has been authored by people who teach the syllabus daily, which is why the Arena is not a content licensing exercise.

An IIT Kharagpur alumnus, Soumyadeep Nandi brings together academic rigour and modern educational design. Having cleared JEE Advanced, KVPY and WBJEE (AIR 49), he emphasises structured problem solving, clarity of fundamentals and intellectual independence.
He is an educator by profession and the founder of Faction, which he started in Agartala in 2023 with a simple conviction: that students deserve the same quality of competitive-exam preparation available in the country's biggest coaching hubs. A physics teacher first, he built it around rigour rather than volume.
At Faction he leads the technology-driven learning systems that combine pedagogy, analytics and scalable mentorship without compromising depth. He looks after the engineering and product side of the application, writing the questions himself and directing how the platform is built.

Co-Founder
Dr. Niladri Deb is a biology mentor known for a calm, logic-driven teaching style and a deep conceptual approach. Since 2018 his mentorship has guided students to leading medical institutions including AIIMS, KGMU, RIMS and CMC.
At Faction his focus lies in building disciplined thinking, consistency and first-principle understanding, shaping learners for sustained academic success and personal growth.

Uditangshu Chakraborty
Founding Engineer
IIT Kharagpur
Uditangshu Chakraborty built Faction Arena from scratch as its founding engineer, taking the platform from an empty repository to the system students use every day.
He works across the whole stack: the question bank and practice engine, contests and rating, and the analytics that turn a student's attempts into feedback they can act on.
